DUBAI RTA
Dubai has offered free bike rides throughout the emirate.
Careem Bikes will be free to use at the emirate’s 186 docking stations.
Residents of Dubai will be able to take an unlimited number of free bike rides every day.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has partnered with Careem to provide free bike rides across 186 docking stations around the emirate for unlimited trips, as long as the single trip does not exceed 45 minutes.
The deal will be active on Saturday, June 10, 2023, to commemorate World Environment Day, which is observed annually on June 5.
Customers can get free rides by selecting “Bike” from the “Go” section on the home screen of the Careem app. Customers can choose the “One Day” pass and get a free ride with the code “Free,” giving them 24-hour access. Participants must provide their credit card information but will not be charged.
During leisure and exercise periods, RTA urged community groups to develop better behaviors and employ flexible mobility options.
Careem Bike has displaced almost 2.5 tonnes of CO2 since its inception in February 2020, the equivalent of 713 cars releasing CO2 yearly.
City Walk, Business Bay, Dubai Media City, Karama, Al Mankhool, and Kite Beach have Careem Bikes.
